Many, many happy returns of the day Miss Minerva McGonagall. Today I am going to share some facts about Minerva McGonagall.

1. She is a registered Animagus
She is a registered Animagus. An Animagus is a witch or wizard who can transform into an animal. You might know that she is an Animagus, but you might not know that she can transform into an animal legally.

2. Her sorting took more than 5 minutes
Minerva McGonagall’s sorting took an astonishing five and a half minutes, resulting in was is known as a Hatstall. The Sorting hat couldn't decide on her house. It was confused about whether to put her in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. But at last, she was sorted in Gryffindor.

3. She is Scottish
Some Harry Potter fans may not know this, but McGonagall is actually Scottish. She was born the child of a Presbyterian Minister. 

4. She has 2 brothers
Minerva McGonagall has two younger brothers: Malcolm and Robert Junior.

5. She Won Awards
Minerva McGonagall also received the top honour for a witch or wizard, The Order of Merlin: First Class. Minerva McGonagall received the award for her efforts at the Battle of Hogwarts and her loyalty to The Order of the Phoenix.

6. School Awards
 Minerva McGonagall received both Prefect and Head Girl badges as well as top grades in her O.W.L and N.E.W.T examinations.

7. School Friends
 Though Professor Sprout came to Hogwarts when Minerva McGonagall was in her sixth year they were really close friends.

8. Half-Blood
Minerva McGonagall's mother was mud blood and her father was a muggle minister

9. She duelled Voldemort
During the Battle of Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall was the one who led the rebellion. In the books, she took out Death Eater Alecto Carrow, evacuated all the underage students. When Voldemort was showing off what was assumed to be Harry’s dead body, she facing the Voldemort with Kingsley Shacklebolt and Professor Slughorn.

      'The person who acted of Harry Potter was allergic to contact lenses and glasses. His skin broke into acne when he wore them.'
      'J.K Rowling was afraid of being asked, "what is Dumbledore's wand made of?"
